Molecular Cardboard
In the molecular cardboard project, I had to make 14 pieces of any shape. I created a sort-of "z" looking shape. I had to cut little slits in the shape so I could attach all of the shape together in an intricate way to make a sculpture. It was a little hard to keep all the pieces still and hold together. Because I had a small shape, some of the cardboard pieces were flimsy. So, I tried my best to create different structures with the shapes and not having it fall because it wasn't so sturdy. The point of this project was so we could learn how to use negative space in art and how you can use the negative pace to make you art piece, you could say, more attractive and eye catching. Using negative space in a sculpture piece is fun because it gives a whole different look to it and it makes it seem interesting. I tried my best to use my negative space wisely, without making my piece look like a mess. I hope you enjoy this example and sorry for the twisted pictures :)
